A whole heaping lot of McClelland tins arrived today. FMOTT, Cellar, Old Church, and some Pal O' Mine. I stacked them all straight up and it was taller than me. Kinda cool.

I'll trade you two pounds of Mixture 79 for it. You'd be silly to pass that up.

With this McClelland news I had to get rid of some stuff in order to buy a few things:

x2 FM Cellar
x13 Brindle Flake
x2 Black Shag

Last purchase for a long while.

Last Saturday, after Drax alerted me to it, 6 tins from Pittsburgh's Allegheny Smokeworks: four 100g McClelland 40th Anniversary, and the two last tins of McCl Tudor Castle they had. Emailed them yesterday and all McClelland blends are now gone.

And then today, (from 4Noggins, the only online retailer that had it) G.L. Pease: U-NION SQUARE 2oz, after reading some reviews and feedback from folk here. Was going to get the much more economical 8 ounce but not sure I'd really like it. This is from GLP's Fog City Selection of all Virginia blends that "ol Rusty had pointed me to in 2016. I've had the Fillmore, Embarcadero, and Laurel Heights, and I kind of liked those.

50gr tin of Aurora
100gr tin Oriental #14

Opened the tin of Aurora there at the shop and enjoyed a smoke and chat with Bloodhound, btw. Great time, but too short.

Til next time, Scott.

Big day for me as I just received some new tobaccos to try: Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake, some HH Vintage Syrian, and a little Kramer's Father Dempsy and Carry grant.

Already partook of the Vintage Syrian . . . wow, smokey cedar incense.

Scored 3+ pounds of McClelland's 2100 Classic Va Flake from a local B&M. Never been my favorite but it'll do. It was the last of the McClelland's tobacco they had.

At a B&M this afternoon, I found and bought 4oz of McC Red Cake, 2 oz of McC Va-Per Flake, and the very last tin of McC anything that was on their shelf, something called Penman's Choice, with a 2014 date stamp, (50 gr).

Edit:. The 50gr tin cost $13. The bulks were $6.50 per oz. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Lots of shops are selling 50gr tins for $20 and up.

Not a purchase, but a trade. I traded a Billiard I had to a good CPS Brother in exchange for these tins that are no longer in production. The Hunter Blend Beagle is a McClelland VaPer and the RO blend is a Russ Oulette VaPer made with Perique made from Virginia instead of burley, from Mark Ryan's St. James Parish Perique factory. It is a win-win. My CPS friend got a good pipe and I got some very nice VaPer tins I will cherish...
