Well, it's almost like a tin.

I sliced up with a very sharp knife, another block -- from an 8 ounce tin of 2013 G.L. Pease Jackknife Plug -- I had in a jelly jar. I rubbed it all out and its sitting on a plate for 15 minutes to help stop the fermentation process.

I find this blend delightful, especially with a good cup of morning coffee. This is by far the best "strong" tobacco I've ever tasted. It reminds me of when, as a small boy, I sometimes rode along on trips to NYC w/ my father. I'd roll down the window to breath in the diesel fumes from the buses. That, to me, is Jackknife Plug, and more.

Been a while since I chanced a GLPease tin.

A generous measure of fine Izmir leaf is layered on a sturdy foundation of mature red and sweet bright Virginia tobaccos, then pressed and allowed to mature and ferment in cakes before being sliced and tinned.

Tin note is amazing. Been drying a couple of flakes rubbed out. Very moist in the tin.

Soon to be an inaugural bowl.

Meer? I think the bowls are too large.

Dunhill group 2 Canadian?

Well. Yes. I think that'd be best.

My last 1.75 ounce tin of McClelland Pebblecut. Oh! How I wish I had gotten more of this. It is delectable.

Are you sure? DL has been known to send out Sam's Blend and lead a person to believe that it came from ID...they are both tricky guys...either way Sam's Blend has the smoothest softest smoke of any tobacco I have ever tried...it has a smoother mouth feel than silk. A very nice smoke!

This kind of smooth sounds nice. I'll have to keep an eye out for a tin one day soon.

Yes it counts and I’m very jealous.

I only had one tin and found it to be quite nice to smoke down here in the humid summer . . . I actually went through it much faster than intended.

Former's Straight Grain Flake. A friend gifted me a tin that he said has about 6 yrs age on it. Good stuff.

I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

Will be cracking another tin of McClelland Aurora later today. A tin from 2015. Wonderful Virginia goodness. So sweet, silky smooth and creamy.
