What Tobacco Will You Order/ Buy Next?

Post by Goose55 » Sun Apr 02, 2017 2:23 pm

What's the most desired pipe tobacco for your next order/ purchase?

I have come to love Gawith Hoggarth's bulk Brown Flake (unscented) and am thinking I will get a pound or more of it this time, and cellar some of it long term to see what it might be like with some age.

I love this tobacco so much, the tightly packed 8 ounce Kerr jar of bulk Samuel Gawith Best Brown Flake I cellared a year ago remains untouched.

I thought I'd purchased 4 tins of Dunhill Dark Flake from P&C but there's no record of my order on the website and my Paypal account was not charged so I'll most likely reorder that elsewhere.

The SG BBF is one of my favorites, Goose. I have both jars of bulk and tins cellared, one always open--it does get better with age, but it's pretty darn good with a year on it.

A bit more Lakeland. I'm eyeing Grasmere Flake for the up coming warm season.

If I ever come across it, Germain's Special Latakia Flake and/or Plum Cake. Stonehaven would be nice to buy too, but I have two bags so I'm good for now. Besides the impossible, I'll probably purchase some of Smoker's Haven stuff and Gaslight by Pease.

A tobacco that many have remarked upon but seemingly none have been brave enough to buy. That't all I'll say.

Ha! Grape then? I would heartily disapprove, but that's usually your department. I shall content myself with disapproving of your lack of disapproval.

Hard telling... I often try to purchase a box of cheap cigars in the spring for yard work and fishing. If I do, I'll try to grab some pipe tobacco; maybe some GH Brown Flake, C&D Junkyard Dawg, and/or some combination of Chelsea Morning, Capstan Flake, 965, or... well... too many choices, not enough budget. :D

Have been enjoying the tin of GH Bob's Chocolate Flake I opened this week, and thinking aging some bulk may be wise. But I already have a ton of bulk Nightcap and John Bull, two Latakia blends.

I think what I will do is alternate evenings of BCF with Nightcap, and see which one I most favor. I may have a bunch of bulk Nightcap or John Bull to sell.

Unbeknownst to me at the time of previous posting; tonight I was able to open 2 tins. Dunhill Dark Flake was one of them. And I had a taste. I must get more immediately.

Thinking of purchasing a few tins of John Cotton's Smyrna. I really enjoyed this tobacco but haven't acquired anymore.

Probably G&H Dark Birdeye when the money is available. Last week was expensive.

By jingo, I will smoke Cult Blood Red Moon before the summer is out. Spring's not even over yet so I have some leeway.

Every time I smoke MCB Navy Flake I wonder why I don't just call it good and smoke that exclusively.
