I just got around to opening a tin of this stuff. Initial tin note is figs and a bit of raisin, with a hint of spice. I found the Izmir very forward in this blend initially, which is smokey. Half way through the bowl the red Virginias begin to sing with their atypical sweetness; however, from there, I found the Izmir and Virginias competing for dominance, though melding quite well into a smokey, citrus-ey sweetness. It is a mild to medium smoke, though probably more on the medium side. The Perique in the blend is, at best, third fiddle, with a touch of spice coming through here and there. Overall, it's a great blend for Oriental lovers, and I'm glad I have multiple tins of this stuff back in the States.
