Has anyone tried these? They use C&D's Red Virginia. C&D Appalacial Trail

In general, UB, I have not found most C&D blends to my liking. I gravitate to McCl & G.L Pease. That doesn't mean they have no blends that I might like, only that those I've tried haven't rung my bell.

Of the five blends, Stovepipe is the only one that's out of stock. So, a quick look at the description was warranted. It's actually quite interesting.

The price is certainly right during this sale. It's good to see a tin at around $8.

I thought Bluegrass sounded interesting. But I have a list of blends that I want to stock up on and a list of those I want to try next. I am going to be good and stick to the plans :)

Not yet. The tin description of white lightening sounds ghey.

Along with my most recent order of GH&Co rope powerhouses, I actually added in a tin of the White Lightning. Pretty much had me at raspberries. I know the strength won't be what i'm used to, but it sounded good and the price was right.

I smoked a bowl of the White Lightning this evening. It's very good. Very natural flavoring, and probably quite a bit going on in it. Sandwiched between bowls of Dark Bird's Eye flake and GH&Co rope, it's tough to tell anything on the strength, but I know it's a lightweight compared to the others. But very, very tasty.

Sounds great. I may have to pull the trigger on a tin for the summer.

Dude. If that was your first bowl, you haven't tried it yet.

Gotta be first bowl of the day with coffee. It's in The Pipeverbs somewhere. Pretty sure.

1) As you know, McClelland is done and gone.

2) As you probably know, C&D does all of the blending and such for the GL Pease labels. Craig Tarler and Greg Pease used to collaborate on blends, under the Two Friends label.

I also love and miss the McClelland virginias. As soon as I heard that McClelland was closing up, my first thought was, "I wonder what C&D will come up with?"

I am going to check out these Appalachian Trail blends really hard at Chicago. That's my mission this year.

Would you like me to get some samples for you?
