Some of my favorite blends in the past were SG - Best Brown Flake, Squadron Leader, Full Virginia Flake, Kendal Mayor's Chocolate Flake.

I sold off or gave away all of my tins of SG, but saved a fair amount of jarred BBF.
I'd love to give this new stuff a try, but I'm not buying more tobacco. I'll likely never smoke up what I've still got.

So ...

I'll eagerly await a report on this new offering.

It is a vaper, however, it is also has added lakeland essence.

I have not developed a taste for that yet.

If it's only available from P&C, I'll have to pass. They'll have to be the last available place to buy tobacco before I do business with them again.

I want to try it but I feel like I can’t keep chasing every new thing or blend I haven’t tried. What’s wrong with P&C? Just curious.

You're right, it can't be done. All you can do is decide on your priorities and make sure you have a few simoleons set aside for when something comes into stock. One of these days SMP is gonna have Dorchester long enough for me to snag a tin. In the meantime, there are plenty of good tobaccos in my closet.

I gave them several tries over a period of some few years and regretted it every time. Always something wrong--wrong stuff or wrong condition. I am convinced that their inventory is mismanaged and their customer service slipshod. After the last fiasco, which took multiple phone calls and some few weeks to correct, I swore they'd never see another order from me. YMMV.

I hear you.
But I have a soft spot for Samuel Gawith, erratically sliced, too often out of stock, overly moist, risk of mold and all.

It’s probably as much the romance and desire to keep that old machinery humming as it is the smoke.

Interesting alright. I wish Navy Flake would show up in stock sometime.

I wish they'd bring back Bracken Flake also.

Pretty ironic, SG introducing a new blend. I think Durango Pipe hits all the nails on the head in his post above.

Man I am sorry about your experience with them. I get most of my tobacco from them and have never had a bad experience.

So true to echo what others have said, why introduce a new blend when you can’t even keep up with demand for the old stuff.

I now have 4 tins of Hansom Flake on the way.

I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.
