Sorry I missed this. I would have kicked in some more. The Bourbon Street is right from the HoW factory in Red Lion, PA. I think of it as a US Lakeland. I think it has Rose Geranium, among other things.

None of their blends were picked up. Some were copied / duplicated. The actual recipe book went to a cigar company in Central America. It was taken by the cigar company that bought them (American Cigar in Cincinnati?). The thought was to do a Middleton with the great old pipe blends and make little cigars out of them. Didn’t happen.

I have enjoyed the box. I decided to keep it.

I will get a bigger box! I took out a box of Prince Albert, which I have never tried. I also took a tin of Billy Budd Blond from C&D and some samples. Of course the rest of the contents of the old box will go into the new improved box.

The new shiny box will go out on Tuesday, due to the the holiday.

How does it compare to Carter Hall in your estimation.

Have you tried a bowl of Bourbon Street?

Actually, I smoked every open blend that was in the box. I used a very small clay pipe. Then I separated the blends into "This is good" and "The mice in my garage threatened to kick my out, if I burned any more of that!"

The next day, I used a small briar pipe to smoke the blends in the good pile Then I made my final selection.

I added a tin of Peterson Hyde Park and a tin of War Horse. Also added tampers and a lot of samples. My wife is working on a surprise now.

Sounds interesting.

Btw, if anyone on the list happens to be the tobacco fairy that sent the Solani ABF a few months ago, then please feel free to drop another tin into the box, if u happen to have another spare.

Sweet! I heard those are collectors items these days. I'll add it to my collection of dangerous and deadly weapons of the 80's with my candy cigarettes, Easy-Bake oven, and Magnetix.

I have procured small zip lock style bags for sample bakky fun. I also have a label maker.

I was not a Boy Scout.

But I still have a label maker.

Over the years, I have acquired many, many samples. It is time to share a small portion of my hoard. (Why am I thinking of Smaug, sleeping on his treasure hoard?) I just use a sharpie on the canning lid of mason jars. I added the lid of mason jar to the ziplock bag for my samples.

Yup. But not before the package does a 700 mile detour to make sure the flavors meld.

Da box is he'e!

I just opened it and am seriously impressed. We'll able to pinch huge amounts of blends we fancy or wish to sample without thoughts of, oh maybe I should not take this much. Someone else needs to have the other part. Nope. No on this box pass, baby!

I need a clarification on the Tampers, please. Is it only one per Boxpassian?

I've narrowed it to two and can pick one from there.

I'll commit to having this box forwarded to Adam by Wednesday, 6/9 if I see he is back from vacation by then.

Porch Pirates are real.

Not taking any tins. Putting in a tin of Spark Plug for sure. Taking many samples as I sniff and read reviews while watching hockey and sipping some Elijah Craig.

If any on Da List for Da Box Pass in waiting would like a customized Hot Wheel; let me know and I'll tag yer name on it in Da Box.

I have these available (no, there will be no pics):

1932 Ford Coupe black on rust
1932 Ford Coupe rust on black
1975 Ford Mustang Cobra II fastback in black with subdued spider on the hood. White 4 spoke deep dish rims. T-Top has been removed.
1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback in red sparkly finish and original factory rims and Red Wall tires.
1968 Ford Shelby Mustang cutback in dark green.
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona in original racing blue, stripped of decals, with simple double 5 spoke black racing rims and Good Year racing tires.

Lemme know if you want one and I'll stick it in the box. AKA: Tradejah a tamper for a Hot Wheel. Whatchasay?

DL, there should be enough tampers for each person to have one.

Glad you got the box. Enjoy the contents!
