Thought for the Day
We had a new Employer. Being all powerful, He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him and performed His work well.
Established on such a footing we became less and less interested in ourselves, our little plans and designs. More and more we became interested in seeing what we could contribute to life.
As we felt new power flow in, as we enjoyed peace of mind, as we discovered we could face life successfully, as we became conscious of His presence, we began to lose our fear of today, tomorrow or the hereafter.
We were reborn.

I'm sorry.... I truly am.
But CPS has been suffering from HDS (Humor Deficit Syndrome) for a while now. We were bound to snap sooner or later.....
It is an inspiring thought. I can especially imagine how the decision to stay sober could make an alcoholic feel Reborn.
We all suffer from some sort of addictions.... and we'd rather have a new boss.

They're just joshing you JRay. You do have to admit that it sounds like it could have been lifted from the latest Newsweek article about Obama.

JRay, thank you for your gracious sense of humor over my hasty post...I confess, I was thinking more of current events. Going back and re-reading your post, I can see how if it was meant to speak of our relationship to the TRUE God, it is a fitting testimony indeed. My hat's off to you for your sobriety and for the Thought of the Day.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Re: Thought for the Day
We were complaining about "lack of humor" back in 2009.
Little did we know....
