Italian now, although I have both. Much recourse to the dictionary. I spoke much more as a child but have let it lapse. When my middle child remarked the other day that she was surprised English people liked Italian food, I realized how much I've failed to pass on. Time for a tune up before I start teaching them.
Also, reading a swell book on medieval/renaissance manners, Il Galateo, by della Casa. There's a real exercise in what the eff. I'd compare it to a seventh or eighth grader reading Beowulf or Early Modern English. But hey, at least I know not to throw the bones on the floor now.
