As far as going back to the days when alcoholic liars ran the country far better? I guess White Owls were a classier product? (I hope old white ladies were classy back in the day) Image

I was too lazy to look for it. It's been a while since I've posted anything here.

Crossing Taylor Bayou, glancing over at the confluence of Taylor and Hilldebrandt Bayous in the distance, a few evenings ago on the 7th anniversary of my dad's passing.
Image

Not long after crossing the bayou I stopped at our local duck hunting club, and watched my grandson coming in from the marsh where he had been brushing up his blind and gathering up some stray decoys, getting ready for a teal hunt the next morning. (Today was his 19th birthday, btw.)
Image

Just before sunrise yesterday morning, from my grandson's duck blind.
Image

Sunset yesterday, after a dove hunt with a couple friends. Not many birds, but a good afternoon. I parked next to a "Christmas tree", as they are called in the oil fields here.
Image

The moon, a night or two ago, was white in appearance. Tonight it has more of a yellow glow to it. I glanced down in time to see a firefly not more than three or four feet away, but couldn't get its' photo.

Actually that's my friend's truck parked closer to the Christmas tree. Mine was just to the right, nearer to the small control center or whatever it is, complete with a couple of solar panels and small wind turbines.
