Here's an old pic of my dad, ~1937, during construction of a bridge. He's ~240 ft up on top of that beam, (without a safety net or tie-off). Funny thing, he preached safety to me and my siblings growing up so much that it became sort-of a running joke.

(I took the pic of the old photo through plastic. I couldn't remove it from the old album, hence the weird lines in the background.)

My buddy Mark. He was a wildlife rehabilitator specializing in raptors. A great guy, he died several years ago. These pictures are from 2010 I think. He's releasing a bald eagle that had been brought in with a broken wing.

Thanks Steve. BTW, Dad's hand-written caption at the top of the photo says "aviation light platform about 240 ft". I need to edit my o.p.. He was standing atop The highest point on that bridge, which has a max clearance of 177'.

One more thing, and this will be my last post. Search Rainbow Bridge in Texas, to see images of the final product. It's the tallest bridge in Texas. Ok, I'll stop posting. But, hey, he's my dad.
