Vivaldi's Four Seasons, narrated by Patrick Stewart.

Thus beginning the non-pharmaceutical phase of my lower-the-blood-pressure project.

Though I have a local copy, here's a convenient youtube version.

This is merely a stepping stone on the path to Yanni.

Be careful.

Chuck Mead and I were classmates in high school. His 2014 record Free State Serenade pays tribute to some of the places and characters around our home town.

Small world. I discovered him only because he was one of the acts at the Opry the night we were there. Loved his segment.

Bolt Thrower - The Killchain

I can only describe the riff this song is based around as meaty. If this song were a meal, it would be a hearty beef stew. The kind of meal that's so good and so heavy that you eat too much and feel like you ate a brick afterward.

My oldest kid turned me on to Gret Van Fleet a while back. If you like old school rock sound, especially Led Zeppelin, and haven't heard them, you owe it to yourself to give it a listen.

Oh la la, I really like that band. They're one of the only bands around doing what they do.

I swear though, that they're not old enough to get in to most of the joints they play.

Iron Butterfly's "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" - the Live in Copenhagen 1971 version that's 24+ minutes long.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
