One of my kid's pogo stick...ugh.
I've had the joy of not being around a pogo stick for a very long time. Do they still always sound like they are seriously in need of oiling?
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Gotta add a wonderful piece of CPS worthy trivia (mostly for Tuttle!):

The bassist on this recording is John Webber, son of Dr. Robert Webber. John played this gig, a tribute to Cecil Payne - the legendary Chicago baritone sax player - while he was still a teenager living in Wheaton, and his dad was a theology professor at Wheaton College. Bob passed away some years ago. John is now in his 50s and enjoying a very successful career in jazz

John’s solo begins at 8:40.

I love this whole album.
Play it often.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - really good history podcast. Listening to an episode called Blueprint for Armageddon I (about the first World War).

https://www.dancarlin.com/hardcore-history-series/

It's also available on YouTube, iTunes, and pretty much any podcasting app.
I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.
