Sunny, calm winds, high around 55F.

Sunny but still chilly, and because of the huge amt of rain we had the other night, quite damp & raw at 49 f and nearly 11 am.

Partly cloudy with a high of 64 today. And beginning tomorrow we have a whole string of days with highs in the low to mid-70s as far out as the forecast shows; all the way out to March 6th. How sweet it is.

Clear with an overnight low of 54 and a high of 76. Ah, springtime in southern Arizona!

41 degrees, it has finally stopped raining, at least it isn't snowing or sleeting...3 months from now I will be crying because it is not raining...typical crybaby.

Glad you got relief up there, finally. Yet record-breaking rain & snow brings record-breaking grasses and shrubs. Kindling dry undergrowth for the next drought. This is what California faced, and is facing again. Repeated record snows & rainfall in the winter of 2016, followed by two dry winters and two hot summers set up the conflagrations of 2018 & 2018. Too wet and then too dry. Wild extremes. Ferocious winter storms leading up to ferocious firestorms. Not a good picture at all.

Just let me savor the Exceptional Drought being broken for a little while, Goose.
Our neighbors' wells were going dry.

We don't live in Chapparal like they do in California. More moisture here is virtually all for the good. Dry meadow grasses later on can be an issue, but the scrub here is long-lasting Gambel oak. It doesn't come and go from year to year. Year to year moisture doesn't radically alter the fuel burden. Years-long droughts do. As does beetle kill from drought-stressed forests.

The main problem is going to come during snowmelt. If it gets hot suddenly, and especially if it does so along with heavy rain, the folks living below the 416 Fire burn scar will have to worry about debris flows.

Let's hope for a gradual warming and runoff,
continued gentle rains over the summer,
sediment flushed from the rivers and streams ...

and healthy bugs and recovering trout!

Scattered rainy for the rest of the week. Pretty mild temps in the 60's(so far) and windy.
Mild enough to take my morning coffee on the patio, so I'm happy :D
Lots of robins and hummingbirds out.

It’s 7 degrees. It’s the first day in a couple of weeks that I didn’t wake up to a weather alert of some
Kind. It’s also the first time in about a month that we may get above freezing. The expected high is 33.

Avalanches have closed I-70 from Frisco to Vail. A Basin is closed and warnings have been issued to stay out of the back country today.

We only got a dusting of new snow overnight. Super foggy. Beware of low flying geese.

Overcast today after a few days of 70 degrees plus weather. Over the next week, overnight lows in the low to mid-40s and highs in the low to mid-60s. Also some light rain is forecast at the beginning of next week. Very fine pipe smoking weather!
