Forecast for the first storm here predicts up to 1’ in the mountains, a few inches in town.
The storm coming in on Thanksgiving - 2 to 5 feet in the mountains, far less in town.

We’re in-between town and the high country in the foothills of the LaPlata Mountains (a group of mountains within the San Juan Mountain range).

We might get inches or several feet. Wind direction is huge.
If a storm comes in from the west to southwest, we get clobbered.

If we get several feet, I’ll post photos.

Grandkids might be stuck here ‘till spring.

Sunny and warm. Tomorrow it's supposed to be about 70. Just before the bottom falls out. This time of year you know that if you have an unusually warm day, it's almost always followed by a cold snap.

Sunny today but with a high of only a chilly 58f. Forecast is for over an inch of rain on Thanksgiving Day with lots of wind.

They were babbling something about a tornado heading in my general direction earlier this evening. Since I'm still here, I guess it either missed us or never happened. I'm glad I didn't bother to get out of my recliner to check it out.

Cloudy, 46 degrees, 50% chance of occasional showers this afternoon, wind light and variable. Perfect day for going to Goose Creek State Park and walking a trail because I'll probably have the whole park almost to myself.
