-9 right now. It’s a heatwave compared to -21 a few days ago.
The coldest I personally ever experienced was -47 below Zero, one morning in Bozeman, MT.
That’s just madness. I don’t think I’ve felt that cold but I know I’ve felt -30 many times. You can hear the trees cracking.

Indeed, those trees cracking gave me a weird feeling....almost ominous! At night especially! :)

Next 7 days in Central Texas it will be highs of low 30's to low 40's and the lows into the teens to freezing. Supposed to be ice and snow this weekend.

I think I'll try to scoop up some warmer temps and mail them to you, so your pipe does not freeze to your lips!

My work sent out an email. For those of you NOT used to the ice, they recommend walking like a penguin. Keep your weight over your foot as you walk. I kinda waddle anyway so I think I’m good

Finally getting some snow around here, awoke to snow falling this morning, about 2-3 inches on the ground with more on the way. Temps are just below freezing with no wind, so it's really pleasant and peaceful.

It's been raining/snowing all day - 41deg right now.
No accumulation, yet. It's been melting as fast as it falls.

Up high, 1' -1 1/2' of snow expected.

But it is snowing again, today, on Durango Pipe.

Here? Partly to mostly cloudy and with a lot of wind in the forecast. By 2pm it's supposed to kick all the way up to an almost steady 25 mph, out of the SW.

Yup!
It’s been coming down hard since around 11:00 A.M.

This one might be measured in feet. :)

[Added at 8:30 P.M.: I just looked at the Purgatory Ski Area snow cam, they’re about 20 miles north of us and the base is about 1,800’ higher up - they’ve only had 2” or 3” since 4:00 P.M.; we’ve had foot. We must be in the sweet spot. :D ]

Weather here on the island is always mild (never very hot; never very cold; sunny more than cloudy), but yesterday we got our twice yearly snow. Sledding and trail skiing up in the mountains in the morning and then hiked out to Lime Kiln Lighthouse in the afternoon. Snowing again this morning. Heading to America (the mainland) next week for some real skiing in the mountains.

Evergreens and snow just go together but the madrona trees look so striking with their reddish bark.

Looks lovely. Your climate sounds like the UK, which is to say just about perfect.

Very similar here on the island. Far sunnier though.
