Most recent coffee (or tea)

I know we already have Chip's, "What are you drinking?" thread, but as I grow to appreciate coffee and tea, I'm curious to hear specifics about what other CPSers enjoy. Heck, I'd even like to know about the equipment/process the brewing takes on.

This morning I made a Mocha Java blend in a semi-professional drip coffee maker. I brewed it on the Strong setting, and while it tastes good as good coffee goes, I taste zero Mocha. A basic store-bought hazelnut carries better flavor than this did.

So what's your most recent cup of coffee (or tea)? How did it rank?

This cup is a 2-1 blend of Rwanda Bourbon and Guatemalan Bourbon varieties It is nice.

I'm a big fan of Keurig coffees, but recently bought a little Senseo pod brewer for my camper, and I think it brews a richer cup than Keurig.

This morning I'm having Tully's House blend brewed in the Keurig. It'd be at the top of my favorite list if it were organic.

It's pretty windy outside, but Simeon's churchwarden is loaded up and callin' my name. I loaded it a few days ago and never got the chance to light it. I don't even remember what I put in it now. Guess I'll be surprised, hopefully it's something that goes well with coffee.

I'm having a late start this morning.

I'm about to start a six cup pot of automatic drip using whole bean 8 -O-Clock coffee. I'm going to drink some of it while smoking a pot of Rose of Latakia. I don't generally smoke a bowl in the morning with coffee but the Rose of Latakia has suggested it.

Mocha does not necessary mean flavored with chocolate, it more traditionally referred to the coffee beans that originated from Mocha, Yemen.

Alright. That makes more sense, then. It was good, chocolate flavored or not.

Guatemalan coffee beans have a chocolate taste and are added to blends.

I had Three Regions from Starbucks. My wife bought it for me last night. I'm beginning to change how I think about their roasting process. I have been enjoying their Casi Cielo. I can tell a difference between gourmet coffee and grocery market blends.

Starbucks seems to roast their coffee well, but can't figure out how to brew it. That is why I brew it myself.

As I brew more of their coffees myself, I'm coming to agree with this statement.

This morning it was Starbucks African Kitamu. This is ok. Not as good as I remember the first pound being.

Before this it was Peet's Major Dickason's blend. This may have made the current stuff taste not as good. By the end of the pound, I really started to like this stuff. Full bodied with a finish that tasted like dark chocolate.

All of the above mentioned coffee was consumed black and made with a Black & Decker coffee maker through an unbleached filter.

Just had some French pressed French Vanilla Light Roasted Columbian deliciousness in my cup. Pretty sweet and flavorful. I'm always a big fan of the FP coffee, even if it is just Meijer brand.
