Well, I'm a real chewing tobacco (big chunks of leaves) man. I really like Days O' Work Plug and Red Man Select. I can't do dip, I've tried and I can't do it. I do like Skoal snus as well.
On occasion I'll cut the ash off of a cigar that I just smoked and chew on that a bit.

Try it! It isn't bad! I could be an acquired taste I guess, but I liked it the first time I tried it.rmedved84 wrote:joegoat wrote: On occasion I'll cut the ash off of a cigar that I just smoked and chew on that a bit.

I've been on a Stokers dip kick lately. I really like their long cuts. They're almost a shag. No little pieces getting all over my mouth.

Normally Copenhagen snuff but yesterday I bought some from a local store and as usual told them I wanted Copenhagen with the silver top. I didn't check before I left and when I got home it was Copenhagen Natural Long Cut. Taste similar but I'm not really a long cut fan. Dipping it anyway.
I also like chewing tobacco and prefer plug. I've got some Day's Work that I haven't opened yet. Also have some Honey Bee Scotch snuff and some Railroad.
I've slacked off on the pipes and cigars a lot lately and only smoke a few evenings a week now.

Days O Work is good. I've tried the dry snuffs in the tall plastic cans. They aren't well suited as nasal snuffs and when used orally they're too messy for me. I might give Copenhagen snuff a shot. I have a feeling it will be too messy for me though.

There is but one dip and that is Copenhagen snuff. The rest of it is the equivalent of that raspberry stuff they sold me when I was a kid.joegoat wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 7:31 amDays O Work is good. That said, don't do it. Quitting it was the hardest thing in the world and it's so unsafe compared to snus. The old fashioned gents I knew as a kid, both rich and poor, chewed loose leaf in small amounts.

I've been craving some Mail Pouch lately. It is just the right balance of natural tobacco flavor and added sweetness. They only sell it in two pouch boxes here. Looks like my cheeks will be full for the foreseeable future.

I still like Camel snus pouches during the workday.

I bought a can when of Camel Mellow Snus when I quit. Only had a three pouches. Will keep the can for times I can't vape.

I can’t find Amish Brand or Havana Blossom anywhere anymore.
Guess I remain retired.

We have the latter here. I've tried it. It was dry as a bone and not appealing.hugodrax wrote:I can’t find Amish Brand or Havana Blossom anywhere anymore.

You know, up until this very point, I considered you a fount of wisdom.
Havana Blossom is dry, yes, but unappealing?
You poor thing, raised up on sweet sweet girly chew.

Haha. There was a shop here that carried several different tobacco twists and kept them in the humidor. They had one that was straight unsweetened tobacco. It was good stuff that didn't crunch when you bit into it. I could give Havana Blossom another shot after a week in my back pocket.hugodrax wrote:You know, up until this very point, I considered you a fount of wisdom.

Nah. I'm teasing. If you don't like it, why train yourself to like it?joegoat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:28 amHaha. I cannot find Mail Pouch or Beechnut at all anymore around here and that was the great divide when I was a kid in the early 80's.
Strange that I've become nostalgic about the single most disgusting way of consuming tobacco known to man.

Amish Brand was made by Domestic Tobacco, who, I believe, also owned the House of Windsor label.

I think HB is still produced.
