Not a potato chip, per se, but I’ve been munching on these lately. It’s the most addictive snack chip I’ve ever eaten.

Anything kettle-cooked is better than anything that isn't.

(Uncle Ray's is a nice brand which I haven't eaten in awhile).

I figured that the Stanley Livingston you mentioned was an actor that portrayed a character of a kid named Chip on some television program from your time but I failed to see the humor, my bad.

I still don't see the humor. Could someone explain? Has Hov turned cannibal?

I used to eat these all the time, then I had a bunch along with a pizza from Smith's in Los Alamos. That night I had the worst case of food poisoning which included the reappearance of said Takis. Haven't been able to eat them since.

Anybody mention Grippo's here yet? The BBQ variety you can get in the big boxes back where I used to live in Evansville, IN.

You've not had BBQ chips till you've had those.

Lay's Classic — Confronted with a chip of such storied venerability, what can one say? Such is the conundrum posed by this ubiquitous gem. What to say, what to say? Should one focus on the even color distribution, with nary a burnt nor barely a darkened chip marring the homogeneity of each bag's contents? Or on the delicate crumb, both toothsomely crisp and amenable to mucosal integrity? The solemn flavor that summons, in a transport of ecstasy, the Potato Exemplar from its noetic heaven?

But all of these converge — in an apotheosis of Japanese wa — upon a gestalt synonymous with the iconicity that is Lay's. Is this vergence a testament to the peerless sophistication of their fabrication techne? To their "chip-fu"?

Or is it, rather, a grim monument to the unitasking monomania of a drone-army subserving the ravenous appetites of their inhuman corporate logos?

Leaving aside this question for future chipstorians to ponder, there is no debate that — beyond their meritorious qualities they leverage to such wondrous effect in the aforementioned, unadorned Original — the truest testament to their bonum honestum is their companionable compliance in suffering an illimitable swath of herbs, spices, cheeses, and sundry flavorings. A sturdy friend to all, in season, out of season. A Chip for All Seasonings, one might even say.

The verdict? Tastefully, and quietly, recommended.
Mmmm, Walkers.

This should be a blog.
http://www.potatochipworld.com/
This blog should compete with that blog. I find it entertaining in the extreme. I rarely eat potato chips but I always click on this topic. That should tell you something.
Indeed. This is the most interesting thread on CPS. There should be a Morley named for it to celebrate the year’s most (or least) interesting thread.
What does the reference to Morley mean?

I had a bag of these the other day, not bad.

Looks like the maker, Utz, is going public this week.
