Cleaned out a closet, installed a some wire rack shelving, and got a good start on organizing my man stuff. It looks like tobacco, whiskey, and ammo will consume the first rack.

Nesting in the new house. Blinds, pendant lights, and one ceiling fan installed yesterday. Another fan and some cafe lights over the courtyard left for another day.

I have the perspective on the writing-- the main pursuit/theme and purpose. I feel good about that. Now if it would just write itself :)

Installing deadbolts on old 140 year old doors. That's some hard wood. I can drill and install the lockset on the door in under 15 minutes thanks to the jig I bought. The hard part is the strike plate on the frame side. My chiseling skills are terrible.

Redoing the kids bathroom. This started as a simple John swap but once I got the thing off the floor and saw what a mess there was under there I had to deal with it. The more I dealt with it the more mess I found until it involved the tub and under flooring as well as the halfwall between the two. Some vacation.

Slowly getting the garage organized. Wanted to build some shelves last night and realized it'd take an hour just to dig out the tools I needed. Only took a half hour to drive to Home Depot and buy some prefabbed steel brackets. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

Not even use copper to begin with. Sacreligious I know but I used galvanised pipe for the tub spout and CPVC for the rest. I would have loved to have used pex but tooling up for that - for one job - would have cost a fortune.

Wanna know the quickest way to destroy an enemy military base camp? Sneak in a bunch of little boys and tell them to not touch anything.

I did a second (and final) mowing/mulching of the leaves in the yard just now.
We don’t rake and burn or even rake and compost anymore. We leave the mulched bits where they are.
The lawn seems to like it.

Hello FredS
That looks like it''s going to be beautiful.

I haven't tried resin embellishment, yet. Seems intimidating to me.

It can be intimidating. It looks cool and can help stabilize the wood by filling voids

Have been hard at work building my eBay listings of estate pipes back up to 70 after they sold off and dropped to 50.
