What is the difference between a Chrysler Buccaneer 18' and a Mercury 18'?
Both are 18' one design sloops, IIRC the Buccaneer is a fixed keel---not too sure about the Mercury. Also the very early Mercurys were plywood while the newer ones are FG. There is a Mercury fleet on the West Coast but I don't know how well the Buccaneers are represented here. Beyond that I haven't a clue!
I've got more experience with Thistles and Victory 21s, and Bears.

This may help:

Buccaneer

Mercury

You're welcome. (We may not be punctual, but we don't leave you hanging forever.)
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
