I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

Sweet Coca Cola. I have no idea why I like it since it doesn't really taste like anything I'm familiar with.
Farts are either proof that God is a man or a sign of a fallen world.

Buffalo Trace over an ice cube with a dash of bitters, a dash of lime, and a cherry.

We we're supposed to leave the house for dinner Abt 45 mins ago, but my wife got a phone call just as we were headed out the door, from a long-time friend. She sat down, and is still listening. I don't know. But ive lit a pipe and am having a sip, on the back porch.

On its own? My dear man, you need a bottle of Prosecco. Float a shot on top.

A berry, banana smoothie. Seemed like the best option for my sore throat.

1 1/4 cup blackberries (could use raspberries or blueberries)
1 1/2 cups organic lowfat milk
1/2 banana
1/2 cup organic greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Blend until smooth and enjoy.
This is what I'm looking for. Only I may sub raw honey for the vanilla extract. There really needs to be a separate smoothie recipes thread.

Yes, on its own. Intriguing.

I shall try it with Prosecco.
