I'm not an enthusiast, but I like the design of this Italian made one:

It’s a form follows function kind of thing ...

The chamber that is firing is at the bottom of the cylinder, not the top (as it is in a traditional revolver), which puts the recoil more in line with the wrist; therefore, less torque, less muzzle flip on firing, and faster recovery for the next shot.

The cutout rib and front sight “look cool”, but the sight and rib need to be elevated for the sights to be visible above the rotating cylinder.

It’s a design concept borrowed from single-barrel trap shotguns.

The “bumpy” places on top and bottom are built-in mounting rails for accessories, like holographic sights and illuminators.

Yeah. Nice gun.

They make this one, too, for target shooting:

That’s the one I want. :D

Supposedly they are extremely over engineered internally. I think they're cool, but the price deters me.

I don't know that I have a "dream gun." Guns interest me as a mechanical level. I have wanted an M1A for some time. I've never seen the right one on the used market. Several of the short barrel SOCOM ones have come up, but don't interest me. I want a full length barrel and a walnut stock. Image

I'm more fashion over function, unless it's something I have a vested interest in - such as my computer hardware.

I became smitten with Anschutz 54 action target rifles back in college when a teammate got one.
It was envy, lust, covet and probably a few other sins at first sight.

I’ve got a nice 64 action sporter, but a 54 remains on my wish list.
A sporter now - no longer an IM target model. Those days are long since over.

At the beginning of the year .270 WIN were $99 for a box of 20.

Yes, just checked and they are down to $55 a box. I think I have enough to last me the next 5 years. I wont buy again until they are back down to $20 a box.
