I met three hunters here in So Cal who use the
Rokon very effectively. The hunting terrain here is characterized by little "honey holes" separated by miles of barren, steep and rugged country.
I want one.
Me too. But I also want the Coleman Mini bike, but can't have one because Kalifornia. I really have grown to hate this suffocating state.

Somewhere at home, I have a canister type deal from 60s or 70s with holes in the side that fits on a stove like that. It makes it into a rudimentary room/tent heater. Picture the black knight's helmet from Holy Grail shoved down on top of that.
Sweet! I have been looking for one of those.
Last weekend, for $10 at the flea market:
Bob
Sweet find! And with a picket fence! That is a great snag on a find in the wild...Bet you could double your money just by selling the globe. Congrats

Rokons are way cool but take a little bit to learn to ride...that front wheel pulling takes some getting used to.

So today I started cleaning up the 286. I cleaned up the globe, new mantles, checked the pump, drained the old fuel, added the new fuel, pumped it up, turned the knob, lit the mantles, and....
Not mine. Just a pic off the net of what happened.
Fireball!

Wow...were you able to dial it down? I have one that takes forever to get the fuel to atomize and I have one that blows quickly...I always wait too long and have a "Poof' with the quick one...

So sounds like it's time to clean the generator tube, and check the burner tube(s) at the mantle connection, and the feed from the base (requires disassembly) for spider webs or "guests".
Here's a decent vid I found on just that subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxvg7XgDUCk

7/70 and the vent is pretty good--a couple chips here. Little rust but missing some paint on the bottom. Not bad for $20!
