So this is your 3rd? Are they on display or packed up? That would make for pretty cool man cave knick knacks.
Yep, its my third stove and I have two lanterns. I may be developing a new sickness hobby. And it seems I am not alone: http://www.colemancollectorsforum.com/

They are just stacked right now but I plan on displaying them in the future.
I hope I'm your secret santa this year. I'll just empty the basement.
I get them now and get them running. The real fun, they tell me, is refurbing them. Some restore them to original and some will restore them with motifs. There are many college football team versions for tailgating, for instance. One collector restored a lantern with a Hello Kitty theme.

Yep. Some collect Coleman propane lanterns/stoves but most look for an entire line or just from a year. That kind of stuff.

I sold my Coleman stove and lantern a few months ago. I kinda wish I hadn't done that now. :(

When we bought the camper, my wife said she was done with tent camping and wanted to clean out the garage. She said this while I was gone/out of town and my son ended up with one or maybe both of my stoves and my lantern. This thread has been haunting me...I am headed home to see what is left in the garage.

As you know she is out of town this week...she may come home to find some Coleman equipment has found a new home in our garage.

I can't gripe too much, the lantern and stoves were hers that she brought to the marriage...so they were hers to get rid of and they went to the son.

I have an oversized heavy duty Coleman sleeping bag and a 4 man Colman tent...so if I don't find the other stove...Craigs list here I come :)

Very very nice! I just read on the collectors site that the 242s are a better lamp than the 220s...you have both there. SWEET!

Every time I see the title of this thread I flash back to HS football. Our biggest guy (and slowest, both in speed and wit) was Gary Coleman. The coach used to yell "COLEMAN!"

This thread makes me kinda sad. You see, once, many years ago, me and two friends of mine were preparing for an elk hunt. My buddy opens a plastic case and pulls a nice Coleman lantern out. I commented how cool it looked and asked if he had any mantles.

I don't know why this was so funny to them but both of them started to go back and forth asking each other in a mocking voice "Do you have any mantles?" For. The. Entire. hunt. It was funny the first 50 times.

They still ask "Do you have any mantles?" When they see me.
