When my parents sold this house as part of the divorce, I stole three pipes owned by my great-great uncle and in the possession of my dad because I knew I would never see them again. Never felt a single ounce of guilt about it.
That makes absolution more difficult. Can you at least search your heart and tell me that you would return them or the value thereof to your uncle if it was in your power to do so?
His grandkids have a criminal record of possessing non-tobaccoie smokables. So, no. More like the 1930s version of basket pipes anyway.
Ego te absolve, Fain. But I'm not a priest, lol. Penance, smoke 3 pipes and figure it out on your own.
The great-great uncle was already deceased with no children. Only my dad' brother might have a claim.

Were they brothers? (Assuming of course that they were both male.)

I sometimes smoke two Nub cigars back to back to essentially create a Nub Churchill.

The first time I heard of a Maga hat, I thought it was something Harry Potter wore.

Whenever somebody says they lost a family member, a friend, or a pet, I always have to resist the urge to ask if they checked under the couch cushions.

When my grandmother and her second husband had to get a blood test in the 1980s before they got married. I always thought it was to make sure they weren't related. I only found out last year it was due to the AIDS panic.

Why would you have thought they were related...assuming I'd want to know?

When I was in Middle School, our English Teacher made us watch The Searchers.
We had to watch it again and write a 3 page summary.
We had to watch it yet another time and relate it to our vocabulary words.
I hate John Wayne movies to this day as a result.

I didn’t buy either a fishing or a hunting license this year.
The water was so low and warm, as it turned out, it somehow didn’t seem right to worry the fish this year.

The local DPW office was closed when my license expired last March (Covid), and I couldn’t get the online application form to work. Never even went back to try again.

And I don’t currently have a dog properly trained.

First time in many decades for both.
Some outdoor writer, huh.

I’m hunting next week at a private “hunt club.” Guest of a friend. No license required.
We’ll have a guide with a dog.

Another first for me. I’m used to being the guide.
It feels like another milestone being passed.

Call me “Bwana.”

Yep. My grandson guides me on hunts and fishing trips these days.

I was today years old when I realized the Marimba intro during my freshman year of Winter Drumline was actually the intro to Come as You Are.

I have a very nice 2 pound deer liver in my freezer awaiting consumption. Problem is, I can't find anyone else willing to share it with me.
1. You weighed it?
2. It was ruined the moment that it was placed in the freezer. IMO, of course.
