I ate two helpings of my wife’s homemade peach crisp this evening. I’m not sorry. I’ll likely have a third before bed. I still won’t be sorry.

Hello FredS
There was a time not too long ago that I would've ate the whole thing in one sitting, with Blue Bell ice cream on top, and not worry about confessing anything at all.

I ordered Detective Comics 1000. Batman is a hero I never outgrew.

Some knew her as Julie Peck
I used to have a collection of her recordings. Great stuff.

I want to thank a minute here to thank you all. It's been some tough times around here and I did lose my faith for a couple of days. I argued and taunted God, questioned his existence and insulted Him if he did and I'm not proud of it. In short, when things went wrong I threw one hell of a fit.

This dysfunctional band of goofballs drug me back to faith. There are some very holy men here of all persuasions, and if you ever think you guys aren't, know that this purebred jerk knows you are wrong.

Thanks. I mean that. Please dont stop loving and caring for each other. It's a hell of a world, and that's all we can do.

I’m feeling a need to “confess” why my pipes and tobaccos posts have dwindled recently.

My eye doctor has identified the beginnings of an eye condition (one that my family has a long history of suffering) that can become serious that, sadly, truly is greatly exacerbated by smoking - including pipe smoking.

As much as I love the pipe, It would be beyond foolish to risk continuing to smoke.

As a consequence my belonging to a pipe community feels a bit dishonest. My hope is that my prior experience and remaining fondness for everything “pipes and pipe tobaccos” justifies, perhaps, belonging.

I have enjoyed this forum tremendously.

There are a few here that don’t smoke much, if at all, these days. I try to pick up the slack.

Hello FredS
+1

ONE WORD:
Smoking isn't a requirement for the fellowship here.

This forum would be such a lesser place without you. Dont you even think about trying to ditch CPS!

Look at TNLp, he hasnt smoked a pipe since that one time he hurled after smoking a puff of Prince Albert!

Concerning the OP, good on you for taking action for your eye health. I hope you will still find fun here and as always, we look forward to your posts of any sort, pipe or not.

You really do help class up the joint and it would be sad for you to bail on us.

Now don't let that go to your head.
