To put the thread back on track, here's a picture of the original Old Overholt distillery. A five minute drive from where I grew up in PA.
The Kroger in Ohio just got some Old Overholt 114 in. I might try a bottle. The regular stuff isn't bad for the price.Image

OO is the best value ever. I stray a bit, but always enjoy a bottle or 2 or 3 each year.
It was my first Rye. I got it just because I grew up next to it's birthplace. Turned out to be a good choice.

I like the looks of the place, and I'll bet it's a cool place to visit. OO was the go to drink for several WWII vets that I knew, and I think of them every time I pour a glass.

It's a neat museum. I haven't been inside for a couple decades though.

In the mood for Scotch. Trying Dewar's White Label. Not a bad bottle.

So, have you ever had Templeton Rye? I'm fond of it and curious how it compares.

Had a very small shot of CR Hand Selected Barrel (rye) after breakfast this morning, with coffee afterward. Not a habit, but is nice on a cold damp morning like today.
