CPS Wisemen, snow and Christmas lights

Post by Tatanka » Thu Dec 03, 2015 11:09 pm

I like the snow falling, the three Wiseguys, and the Christmas lights at the top. Who ever set this up....I thank you. I've been in blizzards and white-outs in Wyoming and Montana, snow in New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, Texas and even Bakersfield years ago - - 6 inches in our yard! Made BIG NEWS!
I enjoy watching the snow fall and imagining what the Wiseguys were discussing as they made their way to Bethlehem.

I'm just enjoying it each time I sign on. It's really neat! Thank you Boss man / Administrator / Chief which ever applies. :)

If you have a wide-screen PC / Laptop you can see that the background image underneath the forum pages has the Three Wise Men in the lower left and the Holy Family in the lower right.

If you want to see the wiseguys, you're gonna need a bigger monitor. They're on the left side of the screen.

I LOVE the Christmas decorations! Yet another example of the Pepik awesomeness.

A few days ago I had CPS open and was doing something else on my computer. I heard a sound of breaking glass and thought my computer must have gotten a virus. Then I found out about the Christmas lights. Soooo cool and fun.

I see the three camels in a split second just as the page loads. I only have a tiny black triangle-like at my lower right corner, so I miss seeing the little family in the grotto. But the falling snow flakes had me dig out my snow boots I wore when I lived in snow country, and the mittens I wore when sledding, but I don't think computer keyboards were manufactured with mitten-wearing in mind. I may have to remove them.

I am, however, worried about the damage the staples holding up the string of lights may leave.

Are the lights costing extra electricity for our CPS utility bill?

Good question. Reminds me of contributing to the "rent" again! :)

The whole thing, I like it. CPS 3.0 is good.

Ahh, I see said the blind man. I see there is a coded, secret language that has evolved among all(?), a majority(?), or some (?) on CPS. I don't consider myself a dunce, - - does one's wife calling him occasionally "you old poop" count? But I must be super naive when it comes to electronic, modern, "hip" communications. LOL

Speaking of "old poop" descriptions ( thanks to the movie On Golden Pond ) :) I need to go out and pick up dog poo in our back yard. I retired to become the official pooper-scooper of the "Circle D Almosta Ranch." :) Thanks for taking me to Kindergarten Class Irish-Dane :)

I am using the CPS background as my work computer's background.
I've gotten lots of appreciative comments from my co-workers.

Thanks again Pepik!

...and it's back (minus the snow).
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
