Yep, Rita has had Poms all of her life. I've never gotten too excited about little dogs, but this one has sure gotten under my skin. It has to be a lot of pressure to be such a little dog running an entire household.

Know the feel, but dogs take on the traits of their owners, I think. I've met dignified cockerpoos and chuckle head great Danes. Dogs have amazing potential.

Agreed, and little dogs have their advantages. My wife and I talk about foreign travel again after the kids leave the nest. A little, well behaved dog is so much easier to find a sitter for.

That's a Min Pin, no? I have always liked those. Since you posted this, coincidentally, I had just been contemplating during my evening pipe/ happy hour, how a Pin Pin puppy might be really well received by my cat, Lucy.

After Saydee died in 2012 I swore I would never get another dog. The pain of the loss was too great. That girl got me through some really bad times. We were a team.

Image

So I was without a dog until January of 2015 when I accompanied a friend to the local animal shelter. The big girl there adopted me and moved in. Her name is Annie. But she wanted her own puppy and when another friend's daughter found the little guy there behind a dumpster on a busy highway, he moved in too. His name is Buddy. Those two dogs bonded immediately with each other and me. Love these two.
