Thought it a good idea to create a thread to show off some of our better nature photographs.
Here's one of my favorites I made many years ago on the trail to Feather Falls in Plumas National Forest, N. California. Yes, I did seek out and chose those leaves to place on that mossy log. Technically, it's not "nature," then, because I manipulated the landscape. But lets just imagine this is how I found it:

Nice. I like how the one leaf stands out. Reminds me of a colorized black & white photo

That was the plan. Didn't even have to do anything to the original file to make it stand out more.

A pair of European Collared Dove babies nesting in my front yard semi dwarf Grapefruit tree. They became so accustomed to me that they let me pet them.

This is dangerous . . .
a regular Pandora's box, I tell you.
I'll try to control myself.
Two?
I'd have to dig up the details, but the equipment basics (and location):
1) Fuji X E1, 35mm f/1.4 XF lens (canyon wall across the county road from our house)
2) Fuji X E1, 18-55mm f/2.8 XF lens (Animas River south of Durango, CO)

Boids ? You want boids?
1) Fuji X E1, 60mm f/2.4 XF lens (hummingbird, on chainring of my bicycle in my garage)
2) Fuji X E1, 50-205mm f/4.5-6.7 XC lens (mourning dove at Lake Pastorious, Laplata County, Colorado)

Nice images, DP, Blood, & DL. I especially like that Black & White, white water at the Aminas River, DP. Nice movement of water with the slower shutter speed.
