We had a visitor last night and this morning - a former student.
We got up early to watch the sunrise in the canyon from our front porch and I snapped yet another photo of the rock face to our north:

Image

Handheld at 800 ISO with the Fuji XE 1 and Fujinon 35mm f/1.4 lens.
File compressed to about 1/4 of full resolution for quicker download.

I've photographed it over and over - all seasons, all light. It never ceases to amaze me. The main rock face is 350' high.
Local climbers call it Quarter Dome.

Handheld! Yeah. You are doing what I do with that fantastic camera!

Eurasian Collared Dove fledgling inside the semi-dwarf Grapefruit tree in my front yard. Just photographed today. Awh! That famous FujiChrome green, in digital! Handheld at 1600 ISO with the Fuji XE 1 and Fujinon 60mm f/2.4 lens

Yup, definitely unclean.

All creatures that swarm upon the earth are detestable; they shall not be eaten. Whatever moves on its belly, and whatever moves on all fours, or whatever has many feet, all the creatures that swarm upon the earth, you shall not eat; for they are detestable. You shall not make yourselves detestable with any creature that swarms; you shall not defile yourselves with them, and so become unclean. For I am the Lord your God; sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming creature that moves on the earth. - Leviticus 11:41-44
