Broken Pipe - GScott

Post by John-Boy » Fri Mar 16, 2018 3:21 pm

If you know GScott on facebook, maybe you saw the news.
GScott's son on Feb 23, 2018 wrote:"I’m sad to say my incredible dad, passed away this morning. He had a heart attack which took him to Heaven instantly. He was a great man and loved by many many people, and he is now with our Savior who he served faithfully. Probably golfing ⛳️ 🏌️‍♀️ (how can it be heaven if there are no golf courses?)"
GScott and I visited Boswells several times when he would come back to his hometown of Baltimore to visit his ailing mother. He was a gem.

Dang man. G was great, always enjoyed his posts and lame jokes . I remember him posting pics of his knees after surgery.

He will be missed, prayers for his family.

This hurts. Several years ago, the wife and I spent a day driving around Napa Valley with Giles and his wife. We drank wine, and then Giles and I pissed off a bunch of liberals by smoking pipes on the patio at the Coppola Winery. Several of his pipes are in my rotation, and the man gifted me a barely-used tin of GLP Renaissance. There's still some left, which I'll smoke to his memory.

I remember when you told me about that trip to California to see Giles.... oh, long about 10 years ago when I was a wide-eyed new piper at my first Chicago Show.

Rest in peace.
