I've always been leery of tribute bands, however I'm scouting around for a few fun cheap things Mrs Hov and I might do this summer and a local winery is having some outdoor concerts for not too much $$, but the acts mostly consist of Tribute bands
Journey
Creedence Clearwater
Pat Benetar
Foriegner
Tom Petty
Van Halen
Eagles
One original concert that sounds interesting is Guns and Hoses,
a battle of the bands between Fire Dept. and Police Dept. bands
Does any of these sound worthy of future consideration?
What are your thoughts on Tribute bands?
Tickets are $15 which is pretty cheap for a concert here in the Big Raisin (Fresno, CA)

Re: Tribute Bands
I used to go to hippie festivals deep in the Ozark mountains. Most of the original bands are gone so the headliners were almost all tribute bands.
Guess the original band.

Mr Mojo Risin
Badfish
The Schwag
I can't remember the Pink Floyd tribute name.

Re: Tribute Bands
Those look like a lot of fun, Hov. I'd jump on them.
We have a lot of good tribute bands that play through our area. I've been to several and haven't seen a bad one, yet. The tickets are cheap and the performances are always a good time.
Let it Rock - Bon Jovi
The Fab 5 - Beatles and other 60's
Vince King - Elvis, Sinatra, Martin (truly outstanding cover artist)
The Everly Brothers Experience - The Zmed Brothers
The Vagablondes - Rod Stewart
Already Gone - The Eagles
Buddy Holly by Two Tons of Steel
Pigs on the Wall - Pink Floyd
TNT - AC/DC (Perhaps the best cover performance I've ever seen)
