That turned out very very nice. Great work...how long will you let the tank go till you add the fish?

Water is in. Filters on 24 hours. Heater turn-up 4 hrs ago. Visibility is 50% through 4 feet. Added charcoal when I turned on the heater. It'll be a few weeks before I take the first water sample as a baseline.

These little fish are going to have quite a nice home.

I’m watching all this and thoroughly enjoying the process. Certainly helps me to appreciate that hobby. Looking forward to the fish.

I think my cat Lucy might very much like this fish tank.

Had a big black and white stray Tom cat that decided to spend several months with me. This was when I first started in this hobby. He loved watching them. He'd get close as he could but never did the cat paw to glass thing. He just watched them.

He was a cool cat.

We called him Shiloh.

Today, I bio-bombed the tank. The decision was moved up in the project plan because 50% fish sale. My head says the tank is medicinally sound. Yet, It seems too quick.

I have begun dismantling the existing tank. The wood here may be temporary. It is African, however so, I am torn. For now, it is part of the bio-bomb.

Enjoy.

Fell in love with aquariums as a kid. 1972, The classic 10 gallon on a black iron stand complete with farting Mermaids tank in the Parental Units home that was a converted Chicken Coup into a rental residence. Date might be geezer fuzzy but everything else you can take to the bank. :mermaid:

There was a Red Tailed shark in my living room that had it's own night light. It was here I honed my craft of silent movement that served me well later in life. First in the sneaking out at night when 16 option of life and then in the Army. I consider both wins.

Got serious about it in the Army days. This tank is a result of decades of experiments and research. All the fish will be from Lake Malawi, except the algae control team. They are best shore contracted from South America. They receive excellent benefits and we're using a trusted and formerly vetted and contracted vendor. Because at Worlds Under Glass we care about all that PC crap.

This tank isn't done. A little more wood is needed (stop it). And there are some Yellow Labs that need to me moved over.

All the wood and the center section of the tank are free floating.

Cold snowy afternoon outside and you just don't care and want to stay inside anyway? Brew a pot tea, put on some Lightenin' Hopkins, and rearrange the aqua-scape in the Mbuna tank.

I didn't lose power. It was raining. A too warm and too humid kind of rain. Almost an annoying rain. Great clouds, however. I mean really top shelf.
