Tonight my bride and a girlfriend are going to the philharmonic's Christmas concert. With our trip to Vail planned, dinner out is too much of an expense right now so I'm making pizza---Goat Cheese, Bacon, Fig, Arugula, Serrano chilies & caramelized onions.
I'll either get this right or I'll give 'em 5 bucks and send them to Subway
I'm leaving off the Arugula. Just. Can't. Do that to pizza
I’m happy to see that your wife and your girlfriend get along, HOV.
I thought the same...
I chuckled for a sec, but seriously arugula is great on pizza!

Tonight it's chicken pot pie.
Couple of days ago my wife, my dog and I, all three of us each had a Banquet frozen cpp.
Tonight we had crab cakes and grilled shrimp with pasta. An Abita Amber was an excellent accompanyment.

Ours were baked by a little family run shop. We've known the family for years and the grub was excellent!

Ha! Life is interesting when you're having 99-cent cpp, for sure. For dessert was a Banquet 99-cent berry pie. The most expensive part of the meal was the Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream that covered the berry pie. In fact it was the best part. The berry pie and cpp were just formalities, preceeding the Blue Bell.

I.e., chicken pot pie made with smoked chicken? Sounds good. We may do this at our house tonight.

It was tasty. Even The Girl (who is the finicky one in the house) liked it.
