Mother's Day!
What are you going to do for your mom, and the mom of your kids?
It's probably too late to make reservations for brunch

You make pancakes, mister? If so, you can make waffles. If not, Joy of Cooking has the Drax family recipe. Reduce sugar combination by half and Bob's your uncle.

We are cleaning the house and taking her out to eat. Next year my birthday falls on Mother's day and my brother's on Father's day.

Missing

I miss my mom. I'm thankful for the time I had her. I was fortunate to have her for so long and a good mother to boot. There are many who don't have a good mother or their mother left much too soon. If you see your mother this weekend, give her a hug from me.

Ice cream maker achieved. I heard "root beer ice cream" as I walked by earlier. I am a happy man.

No reservations so I'm cooking dinner on Mother's Day being the slacker loser that I am!
The menu:
Grilled Alaska Halibut marinated with lemon, rosemary, olive oil and white wine seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika
White corn on the cob
Garlic bread
Grilled Asparagus
I can cook everything on the grill, so the kitchen stays cool.
Prosecco to toast, wine to drink.
I was able to find everything I need on sale, for which I am grateful!
The present:
A new hummingbird feeder

I already went to the cemetery this morning to decorate the graves of my mother & grand mothers with roses from my mom's garden.

Tomorrow after mass I'm selling Mother's Day corsages for Right to Life.
