A Pickled Garlic Observation

Post by Hovannes » Thu Nov 07, 2019 10:25 am

I haven't explored pickled garlic in quite a while, but I was recently given a small jar of home made pickled garlic and it's pretty darned good!
This batch was pickled with ginger root, white wine, chili pepper, mustard seed and coarse salt---these seriously ramp up the flavor to a new level! :D

Does one simply munch on cloves of pickled garlic, like a snack?

I will occasionally enjoy a martini, garnished with a large olive stuffed with a clove of garlic. Mrs. Del doesn't mind the alcohol consumption, but she demands moderation on the garlic.

I am garlic intolerant. The smell and the taste makes me nauseous and if I eat very much of it my head stops-up and I start sneezing.

I do not understand people like you and your wife sounds like a good woman of fine judgement.

My wife is a garlic fiend. She puts it in everything. I am ok with it in reasonable amounts. There are some evenings when she just gets a kiss on the cheek.
