12 year Cakeday
Morning comrades. Hope all is well in CPS Land. Apparently I joined 12 years ago today and apparently I’ve been gone for a bit. I still see a few of you on Facebook. Read the news about Rusty and GScott; may God welcome them into the light of his face. We left Boulder several years back. Lived back home in New Orleans for a few years (I think I was active here then). Spent a few years in the Hudson Valley in NY. Left my practice there and moved to Camden, Maine where I’ve practiced for the past year and a half. We had an almost incomprehensibly perfect offer to take over a very successful private practice in Friday Harbor, Washington (which is on San Juan Island). Moving there permanently in a few weeks. The San Juan Islands have been our favorite place for neary 20 years; the circumstances leading up to this offer were incredibly unlikely, but life’s funny sometimes. My wife and daughters and I couldn’t be any happier about the move.
I still enjoy an occasional pipe. Sold off every pipe I had except one 1968 Dunhill shell briar group 4 LBS (billiard). I’ve got enough Frog Morton to likely last the rest of my life (given the glacial rate at which I have a pipe). I’ve been enjoying the Peterson EMP and Nightcap blends lately. Other than that I like an occasional Liga Privada No. 9 robusto.
Hope you’re all doing well. If you ever find yourself in Friday Harbor say hello; the island is a perfect spot for a pipe and pint.

A fine report, sir!
Glad to hear you and your family are so blessed----I'd offer to help you move but I traded in my pick-up back in '09.
Friday Harbor is fortunate to have you!

Well if you're going to only have 1 pipe, you have chosen wisely! We haven't interacted before but it's nice to hear from you. Beautiful lighter as well.

How's your sense of humor been? You had started and contributed to some great threads here... hoping your good sense remains. So very glad to hear an update.

Sense of humor is mostly intact. I think.
And I never shy away from a good Dr House joke. I still get comments on the picture of me and Hugh Laurie at Mardi Gras. My patients always seem to get a laugh out of it.

Yo. Glad you're well.
Colton and Simeon and I had a smoke in Denver a few weeks ago and talk drifted to you. Turns out Colton and I both own pipes bags we bought from you via CPS.

Welome. Thoughts on Han shooting first?

And welcome to you as well.
As someone who sat in the theater as a six year old lad and saw the unedited, unadulterated, un-GeorgeLucasRapedMyChildhood film I can say that Han shot first. Some say that in some infinite number of universes he's still shooting first.
