Any YouTubers here?

Are there any YouTubers here?

I'm not a technical guy and was wondering what a good, inexpensive option for a cam would be to make decent YouTube vids with?

Is editing a pain?

Thanks for any tips.

What is this madness? Your Youtube videos are about as far from crap as you can get. They are well made, entertaining and show something of value (like how to cook muna beetles) and I get something (seriously) from nearly ever one I watch.

But to the initial question, I use my Galaxy 5 phone, down load the video on my laptop and then up load it to youtube. The quality seems as good as the other videos (but not the content). If you want to video yourself, a method of attaching your phone to a tripod is pretty useful. Try making some with your phone. There is a pipe community on Youtube but you probably already know that and some of them have made good videos recommending cameras if you want something more versatile.

Me. I can't afford the software right now, but used it in the past. Movie Maker is what you want. Its super easy to edit videos. You can take out mistakes, add opening and ending credits, captions, etc.

GoPro or cheap handy-cam.
There are free / shareware versions of editors. Bit of a learning curve but do-able.

I posted a video about Frog Morton, recorded using my phone. I can't say it's something I'm proud of, compared to what is out there
