I tried, brother, I really did.

That guy's voice made me want to stab him.

Heh. Yeah, he sounds like Wolfman Jack on Helium.

There's a midwest morning radio show called The Bob & Tom Show. Two reoccurring characters on the show are Nick and Sonny Love, a.k.a. The Love Brothers. He sounds like one of them.

There was a guy at the office that used to listen to them all the time.

I know this accent. It's from the Joe Pesci region of New Jersey.

Hit the settings icon and set the playback speed at 2. It doesn't take as long and it's pretty funny. You can experiment with the various playback speeds but I liked 2 the best.

I pegged it as a New York accent. Midstate, maybe Syracuse?

Also, I've never had anyone comment negatively about a pocket knife. Very often when we're out, Mrs FredS has a need herself or see's someone else who does so she'll ask for my knife. She's done it so often over the last 38ish years that her question has contracted from "Do you have your pocket knife? Can I borrow it?" to simply to "have your knife?".

Ok, I made it through. Guy's a card and probably great fun to be around.

If people are afraid of pocket knives, then my theory about city folks evolving into a post-human state might be correct.

This makes sense.

I heard the New York/New Jersey in it, but there was a little New England there, too.
Midstate New York puts him between the two.

At first, the hands were distracting, but once I saw them as deliberate humor I started laughing.

We have a judge in my division and is very weapon sensitive and he has made orders concerning the handling of weapons in his court as evidence and such, short story is that if a weapon is to be presented as evidence, I have to be present to handle the weapon and keep it in my custody when not being exhibited. Additionally we warn officers not to flip out their Spiderco Police blades to open evidence during testimony...I have a very small 2 blade Western slip joint that is my evidence knife and I give that to them to use on the stand. More than one of them has offered to give that little knife a new home...got to watch those cops... :)
