CPSers Birth Year Cars

Love 'em? Hate 'em?

SHOW THEM!

I'm a 1963 guy.

1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. I'd need to remove the #10 sticker. I'm a #3 guy. And if that means a paint job, then we'll need to go Gun Metal Blue with zero stickers. And black matte rims of a different pattern. Knock-offs remain in place as is.

The first family car that I remember was a Ford Fairlane. Here is the 1960 model....

You don't get much more 1972 than this...

Is there anything that screams white pilgrimage louder than a 1960 Ford Fairlane? I think not.

Did you swipe yer "phone"?

Well then.

It had a red vinyl interior that would get soooo hot it would brand your legs with the seam lines in the summer. I once left a box of Crayolas in the back seat. They melted into a big glob that we never quite got rid of. The doors, oh the doors. Those suckers were so heavy that my dad tied a rope to the interior handle of the passenger side so when I got in he could pull the rope and close the door because I sure couldn't. I used to stick pebbles in the wire hubcaps so when we went down the road the car sounded like a metal maraca. Good times. Simpler times.

The Chevrolet Celebrity was the best-selling car in my birth year, but this was the best looking one, by far:
