Thanks!

We officially have our auction on the calendar for August so the projects must keep rolling.

Slightly more involved, we actually completed construction on this oak cabinet today. There is currently voting underway on FB to determine the color:

Great day at the Ranch!

We had two young men baptized during our morning service. A lot of staff and families were there for morning service and then a huge fried chicken lunch. One of those great mornings at the ministry. Praise God.

Just a few moments from around the Ranch:

We’ve taken to utilizing one end of the maintenance shop as grilling/smoking spot, during vocational class we call it “smoke voc.” From time to time Jason will call us over sampling:

One of my students finishes his personal project, a cigar box guitar:

A few of my students and I continue to clean out the hay barn and build storage racks for lumber:

Cutting this short, one completed cutting board for the auction:

For up to date news, definitely follow our FB page.

A huge to thanks to all of you that help make all of this possible!

Congrats to all.

Btw, how do you like the JD Gator that's in the 2nd pic?

It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve visited Salem. I’m glad it is still around doing good work. I often think of the Salem students who were part of my earliest youth groups.

Thanks! The Gator sees a lot of use, to be sure. It was particularly pursued by the guy that runs the equine program as something he needed for his work. So it sees a lot of duty towing the dummy steer for the boys to learn the finer arts of riding and roping:

It obviously gets used for a ton of other work as well. Having 4 seats is nice, but if it were for personal use I’d much rather have the extra bed space. It’s also not the smoothest of machines as far as driving it is concerned, but then, it doesn’t really need to be.

If you’re ever back in this area you really need to look me up. You’d hardly recognize the place anymore (for the better I believe). We’ve got a fantastic team of staff and the spirit of the place is as good as I’ve known it.
