Alright. It's silly looking. Do you want to drive a silly looking car? It lacks the sleek lines of your more popular Italian varieties.

A test drive will talk you out of it more than anything we can write. Hell, just closing the door of one should convince you to walk away. Like every Fiat ever made, they rattle like a tin can full of rocks. Buy a base model Mini if you're looking for a fun little car.

Or a Miata. I had a '99 that was an absolute DREAM to drive. One could make the argument that those are chic cars too but da...ngit it was a super fun car to drive. It cornered on a dime. On a DIME I tell you! Plus, since it felt a lot faster than it was, you could get the most you could out of what little horsepower it had. But boy it had torque! It was geared such that you were in 5th at 35mph and that sucker screamed on the interstate. The benefit to this though was that if you wanted to pass someone the revs were already so high you just tromp on the gas and it set you back in the seat.FredS wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 2:53 pmA test drive will talk you out of it more than anything we can write. Also, it was relatively easy to work on given its lack of bells and whistles. It was tight quarters for sure but not a lot of extra parts on it.

Re: Fix It Again, Tony
I've driven a few stock Miatas. Fun for sure, but none ever set me in the back seat. But yeah, the 20 year old models are cheap to buy and cheap(ish) and easy to repair or soup up. And, as long as you don't sport a thin mustache, you don't look like a ghey Italian driving one.AnungUnRama wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 3:31 pmOr a Miata. It's cheap.
It's economical.
And we need another car.
I just don't know if that's going to be the car

It's a Fiat built by Chrysler, Holmes.
Poor fiscal decision even if you got it free.
Pretty Gucci, though.

The fact that they had to make that commercial to convince men to drive it says all you need to know. Bad Boys? harumph

Definitely one of those instances where the commercials were better than the cars.
