Proud dad brag...

Post by JMG » Fri May 21, 2021 10:02 am

The girls had the end-of-the-year awards day today. My oldest got the highest grades in Biology, Alegebra I, Bible, PE, Psychology, and got High Honor Roll. My middle was the only high honor roll in all of 7th grade. She also got highest average in Math, History and Language Arts. My youngest was one of only two high honor rolls in her grade and got the highest language grade and the P.E. Award.

After all the difficult transitions these girls went through this past year I would have been happy if they just were mentally and emotionally healthy and even barely passed, but they have worked hard and have done wonderfully. I’m extremely proud of them.

Congrats all around, to the girls, and to the parents. Prayers for a great, and safe, summer vacation.

That is great news! Happy for you and them. Heck, I'm proud of them too.

You’ve all earned it.

And they ate the right kind of bugs.

Perhaps the bugs were radioactive from all of the thermonuclear tests in the Pacific.

Now they got superpowers.

Most kids get all messed up at college, but I have a devout Pentecostal friend whose daughter is doing well at Big State Secular University.

The very bright, high-achieving young woman was well-formed in family and faith. And she placed herself within a great Christian fellowship (Chi Alpha) at school. Then cover hit, and the students weren't able to swim in the toxic culture for a year. She'll start Senior year this fall. She was even selected to serve as an RA in a dorm this year (beating many dozens of competing applicants). Her mom was afraid that she'd be "too Christian" to be chosen.

I no longer encourage parents to send their kids to secular university, but God may have special plans for your daughters.

He already fed them super-bugs.
