Bleak State of California's Reservoirs Ahead of Hot Dry Summer

Post by Goose55 » Thu Jun 03, 2021 9:35 am

Drought ravages California's reservoirs ahead of a hot, dry summer. The state's more than 1,500 reservoirs are 50% lower than they should be this time of year. This does not look good at all....

The past two Dem Governors had a mandate from the public who voted on a Proposition to build more storage so droughts could be mitigated from when there were wet surplus years. Taxes and fees were collected and ...they spent the $$ on other stuff like a high speed (that isn't and never will be because a true high speed line was too expensive so the specs were changed to a marginally faster than Amtrak) rail line from Merced to Bakersfield.
The effects of the current drought should be on the public's mind when Newsom's recall comes 'round.

Lately, there have been some torrid temperatures in northern CA for this time of year. Redding for instance, way up north (near Lake Shasta Reservoir), has had a string of days with unheard of temperatures for late May and early June. Around 110 F. That's 10 degrees warmer than here in the AZ Deserts.

It's pretty hot for this time of year here in Fresno. Not managing the forests led to the horrific destruction last year.
This week Liberal Environmentalists were invited to meet with the chief local forester to discuss how to mitigate all the dead fuel in the Sierra.
They walked out of the meeting.

We're going to be toast. Literally.
