John, I grew up in Louisiana, but somehow Gigglesnort sounds familiar. I may be confusing it with the Hudson Brothers show or something though.

And to whoever posted about the Electric Company....word. First time I ever saw Morgan Freeman was on that show.

I always turned the channel to Thundar the Barbarian whenever the Electric Company came on.

Twice Goldar has been mentioned. Was there a show titled "Goldar", or are we all thinking of "Space Giants"--the show where Miko (the human kid) could summon any of the three robots/rockets; Goldar, Silvar and Gam?

I thought I was the only person on earth who remembered them, and was truly thinking the whole thing might have just been the dream of an autistic child.....much like St. Elswhere.

Man, I remember when that first came out. We thought it was the greatest TV show ever. I remember recording the theme song on my tape player from the TV speaker and playing it on the school bus and thinking I was cool. Good times.
Believe it or not, I'm walkin' on air.
I never thought I could feel so free-ee-ee.
Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not, it's just me.

(And, yes, that was just from memory. Shelved next to the Hugh "Lumpy" Brannum info. It would be cool to have Robert Culp as a sidekick.)
My friend Jimmy across the street made his grandma make him the red suit. The rest us neighborhood kids would assume characters from the show and play along with him. Sometimes I had to play Bill. :x

I am amazed no one has mentioned The Fall Guy with Lee Majors and the bootylicious Heather Thomas.

Heather Thomas made being a 12 year old boy in 1984 very special.

I liked new coke. Crystal Pepsi and 7up Gold were bad ideas.

(to get technical even classic coke isn't the same as the original stuff)

Saw it in the theatre as well. Admit it; we're dopplegangers or something.

Vaguely remember the "UFO" thing.

There is an infinitesimally small amount of things in this universe that is as cool as a sleestak.

I've known this fact for some time now.

Yup. "Classic" Coke is not the original. If you liked "New" Coke, drink the "Sam's Choice" Cola. It is the "New" Coke recipe.
