Ah so the thread would contain a bunch of collapsed posts and you'd have to open all or selective ones as you prefer by the contributors name. That's not really a discussion anymore, is it? You'd still see quoted text but you may misunderstand the reply that you did read because the context could be missing ie you chose not to read the preceding. How is that heaven? It's like flipping to the end of the novel. I suppose it depends upon taste. In CPS discussions the threads sometimes calve and there may be a couple of subtopics being discussed in parallel by different sets of people. The topic often evolves and drifts. What may have started as something that appears very plain, simple, and straight forward can evolve into something quite different with really interesting interpretations that may be very different than our own. That makes it interesting. That's discussion.mont974x4 wrote:I meant as an intorvert being able to go to a forum and see a bunch of posts have been made to a thread, but being able to click and open individual posts as you choose......would be heaven.Rusty wrote:Naw, that's Jocose on the downside of his cycle. You are right. That's why for a severe introvert it would be so nice. They can click and expand a post if they choose thus helping them keep from being overwhelmed.Rusty wrote:Ah so the thread would contain a bunch of collapsed posts and you'd have to open all or selective ones as you prefer by the contributors name. Yep. In this thread alone I've ignored multiple posts.Onyx wrote:Post of the MonthA_Morley wrote:I just ignore the "foe" function. No damn fool machine can repudiate and revile my fellow man as effectively as I myself can.
If you just Foe everyone, then CPS would be like a personal blog.John-Boy wrote:Yep.
