Interesting the 2006 label reads only St. James Woods. My 2015 and newer tins read "St. James Woods Pipe Tobacco."

General Holland Smith: "Was Tarawa worth it? My answer is unqualified: No. From the very beginning the decision of the Joint Chiefs to seize Tarawa was a mistake and from their initial mistake grew the terrible drama of errors, errors of omission rather than commission, resulting in these needless casualties".

Well an old friend came over who I didn’t know smoked a pipe or at least had and then had everything in storage until recently so I smoked . . .
1. Frog Morton - Across the Pond
2. Frog Morton
3. Gawith - Bob’s Chocolate Flake (really was to dry to get anything from it)
4. Shortcut to Mushrooms: this was the hit of the day for me as I really enjoyed it and have a generous sample to work through now.

All three pipes were used and now my tongue needs a rest as this was all back to back. Good afternoon for sure.

I'm smokin' Gawith, Hoggarth, & Co. bulk Brown Flake (unscented) in a gargantuan bent Ser Jacobo Maxima Maxima Brandy. To give perspective, that 100g tin of McCl SJWs is 3 - 3/8th inches tall. The pipe is yuge with a 1 inch chamber diameter
