Same here. It was love at first sight. Go figure.

This one has been making yern lately though I am not particularly a Joura fan (I'm not anti-fan, I just haven't been drawn to his range before).

This is my vision of the ideal pipe but in a group 6 size.

Ideal? Thats tough. At different times, all the pipes I now have have been "ideal." Nearly all are pots with a bend of some sort, with an apple, a bulldog and a cob thrown in for good measure. I tend to think of my "ideal" pipe as being old, knocked around a good amount and an exceptionally good smoker with my choice of tobacco. If it fits easily in my pocket, that is a BIG plus.

For a short time I had a poker and that was an exceptionally nice shape, but smoked quite a bit hotter than my others (perhaps due to the thin walls?) So I wouldn't call it "ideal" for me.

I have many great pipes... but I hope I never find the IDEAL pipe... what excuse would I then have to buy the next one...

Perhaps its a poor analogy but my two front teeth are definately my favorite but I still like having and brushing the rest. We Christians already have the ultimate book yet we fill our shelves with others and appropriately so. Pipes are no different!! You can have an ideal, buy it and still want more! My 4th wife is definately my favorite but I still like having the other 3 around. wait...am I the only Mormon here?

For all you LOTR fans:

A Cavicchi made "Bilbo" with a cast silver band in Elvish, that reads "Bilbo, LOTR".

I'm pretty close to FlyCruiser on this one. This would be an ideal pipe for me:

I just bought almost this exact pipe (in the St. Patrick's Day series) and it is a wonderful pipe. I own more billiards than anything else, but this has become such a natural pipe to smoke.

This one right here. I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend that much on a pipe but its a beauty.
